Latin LOLCat: Dare!

Here is today's Latin LOLCat: The Latin word audes which you see here gives us the English word "audacity, boldness." More about the etymology here. The words are from Thomas Aquinas, and you can find the saying used as a motto of Saint Ignatius College.  If you are interested in Latin proverbs and fables, check out the Bestiaria Latina blog.

Quantum potes, tantum aude.
